There Is No Planet B.
Nowhere Collective began in 2019 with the belief that creative minds and skilled artisans are an untapped resource to help solve the climate crisis. Knowing that we have one planet and nowhere else to go, the design challenge was to coat our ominous reality with a dose of fun and imagination.
The company evolved over the course of three years, but has never strayed from its core mission. I was brought in at the beginning to design a brand from scratch that is fun, cheeky, bold, and artistic. Because the branding was inspired by the founder’s original aspirational vision, the initial design has had staying power through the organizational changes.
As Nowhere Collective found its footing as a marketplace for upcycling makers, each element needed to resonate with both sides of the marketplace: imaginative makers who are passionate about repurposing trash and consumers who are looking for unique, sustainable and handmade products.
Photographic textures, rascally lines, and a hand sketched font highlight the artistry of the brand. Ambiguous human illustrations represent the focus on community.

Print & Digital Materials for the "Trashy Market”
The Trashy Market materials were designed to compliment the Nowhere Collective Brand but have a distinct look. The collage design reflects the variety of the maker vendors and helps to keep the imagery fresh but consistent from market to market.
